If you have a new real estate business, it will take time for you to build up your customer base and get the word out there. Fortunately, there are things you can do to help build it up a little faster, two of which are listed below.
Use QR Codes
If you have been in the real estate business for even a short time, you are likely familiar with QR codes. If not, QR stands for quick response, and it is a barcode that can be scanned with an application on a smart phone. Once it is scanned, it allows the person to view things like a video, image, or a website.
For a potential buyer to scan the QR code, their smartphone has to be equipped with a camera and a QR code scanner/reader application installed. Fortunately, most smartphones today have these applications preinstalled on them.
QR codes work great for real estate agents because they can be used for things like your email marketing campaign and your advertising flyers. These codes also make it much easier for your potential and current clients to navigate to your website to see your listing photos and other information you have on your site. If you choose to use QR codes, two things you could do include:
- Put a QR code on real estate flyers and postcards to redirect clients to your website or specific photographs of your listings.
- Place a QR sticker on one of your lock boxes that you put in front of your homes. When someone walks up to the lock box, they can scan the code with their smartphone and get the information they need instead of writing it down. It can show information like the square footage of the home, the number of bedrooms, etc.
There are many programs you can use online to create QR codes yourself, or you can hire someone to do it for you.
Be Mobile Friendly
Most people today use their smartphone for many things, including looking for businesses, such as realtors. As a matter of fact, 66% of emails are opened either on a tablet or smartphone, and many people navigate to websites. For this reason, you must make your emails and website mobile friendly. This means, they must fit on the smartphone or tablet screen in a way that makes it easy for the user to navigate. If they have to scroll back and forth to be able to read everything they will be quickly put off.
You should also make sure your visitors will find it easy to search for things on your site. For example, they may be looking for a new home on their smartphone instead of their home computer. They should be able to look through the listings easily. If you are interested in this, hire a website development company to set up your mobile sites for you.
There are many other ways you can market your business, but these two are a good place to get started. For more information, visit http://homecodec.com or a similar website.Share
